The AVIOTECNICA Cockpit and Engine tail boom Hail Cover is made from Silver Polyester material and is lined with a soft and smooth microfiber fleece backing. 6mm compacted poly foam material is inserted between the double material layers in order to absorb the impact of the hailstones on the cabin and cabin surrounds of the aircraft.

It covers the main cockpit, front, and rear doors. For complete protection of the craft, add Part No.CRAFT6

The outer cover material is 210D grade polyester treated coating for water resistance, UV protection, and anti-static buildup.

The inner 6mm thick and the reflective silver outer material will reduce the interior temperature of the aircraft greatly, even on the hottest days.

The unique air breathers fitted to the outer layer of the cover will also allow ventilation of hot air normally trapped under the cover and will not allow rain in. However, under extreme weather conditions, water may penetrate.  In cold weather, the air breathers provide ventilation to allow moisture to escape from between the cover and the cockpit surface. If required in icy conditions, the air scoops can be sealed by the Velcro strips sewn into the scoops.

Special Hi-Visibility fluorescent striping is fitted to the outside of the cover so that the aircraft can be seen at nighttime.

The fleece backing of the cover inner lining is made of a soft microfiber material to prevent scratching of the aircraft's Perspex and painted surfaces.

The hem of the cover has an elasticised cord which can be tightened to a snug fit to help prevent abrasions or chafing of the windshield. Security straps with quick locks clips are attached to the cover to ensure that the Cover is Secured.

The Aviotecnica hail cover will also minimize damage to the upholstery caused by excessive heat and can overcome problems caused by leaking door and window seals.

 It is always best practice to apply this cover to a clean, dry and cool cockpit as this fabric will pick up any dirt left on your aircraft.

*Aviotecnica cannot guarantee that in extreme cases of hailstones the special EPE 6mm foam material will withstand the forces of unusually heavy hailstones, but it will minimize their impact and therefore minimize damage
